THE COMPANY

Whistonbrook Technologies Limited is a small instrument design house formed in 1997 and based in Bedfordshire specialising in custom electrochemical instrumentation and consultancy in electrochemistry. The Company design and supply a range of instruments from micro-loggers and handheld potentiostats through to bench-top electrochemical instruments with advanced software and process control capabilities. We are particularly skilled at designing and consulting on the development of electrochemical Point of Care (POC) and medical diagnostic instruments. In previous projects we have helped our customers to choose the right type of instrumentation and method, designed and supplied demonstration unit and user software and either, supplied trial instruments or transferred the technology to the customers chosen suppliers.

We also have expertise in pH measurement and the design of reference electrodes and ion selective electrodes (ISE) as well as general electroanalytical chemistry. Whistonbrook personnel have a combined total of over 50 years experience in the measurement of pH and the use of ion selective electrodes and carry out consultancy on the design of electrodes and measurement systems.

Whistonbrook Technologies Limited manufactures and supplies a full range of standard potentiostats. This includes the low cost, low current ezeScan4, the general ezePG potentiostat with the ezeCorr corrosion option as well as a full range of analogue and multichannel potentiostats. We design and supply all types of potentiostats, galvanostats, electrodepositing units, potentiometers, optical sensor loggers and fuel cell testers. Some of these are supplied with standard electrochemistry software while others are supplied with custom embedded procedures or methods for customers who have a special need.

Our Potentiostat Range

Low cost ezeScan4 Potentiostat.

An entry level digital potentiostat with PC software for seven standard electrochemical methods and current measurement ranges with resolution from 10pA to 1mA.

General Purpose ezePG Potentiostat

A digital potentiostat with built in Galvanostat and five current ranges with 100mA maximum current and a minimum resolution of 100pA. Supplied with standard electrochemical software. An ezCorr corrosion option is also available with standard corrosion methods.

ezeTouch Handheld Potentiostat

A generic colour touch screen potentiostat platform, with software designable buttons and graphics. This allows fast and low cost custom development of portable potentiostats.

Quad Potentiostat

A four channel pc controlled potentiostat with four independent circuits to allow measurement of four cells simultaneously. It can also be supplied configured to measure a single cell with four working and one reference electrodes

Low current analogue Bipotentiostat

A new low noise, low current bipotentiostat powered by rechargeable batteries for neurophysiology or neuroscience physiology has just been launched. It has four gain ranges custom set from 1nA/V to 1mA/V output with current resoluttion from 100pA to 1mA.

NEW Low noise Analogue Potentiostat NEW

Our popular low noise analogue potentiostat has been upgraded. It is powered by rechargeable batteries and has 4 gains, which are manually selectable. Two analogue inputs and a +/- 5V analogue output with current ranges from 1mA/V to 1uA/V. Two further ranges of 10nA/V and 100nA/V are optional. Current resolution of between 1pA and 1mA is achievable. new internal applied potential control with a 10 turn knob and lcd display has been added. The display will also show current. An option to include two further lower gains can be added.

Wireless Potentiometer/Potentiostat

A small wireless potentiostat which also includes a four channel high impedance potentiometer/millivoltmeter allows a variety of sensor measurements to be carried out where cables and leads are inappropriate.

ezeU Product Range

The ezeU range of instruments are specifically designed for experiments in undergraduate laboratories where many electrochemical experiments are carried out simultaneously and where the cost of a number of large R&D instruments cannot be justified.
